A pedestrian is lawfully crossing your lane at an intersection crosswalk, which may be marked or unmarked. What should you do?
A and B approach a marked crosswalk in adjacent lanes. A pedestrian is on the crossing ahead of them.
Correct answer: Yield and stop when necessary so the pedestrian can cross safely.
Why
Keep the crosswalk clear and yield to a person lawfully using it. A person may be hidden by a vehicle stopped in the next lane. Slow enough to see the entire crossing, stop when needed, and do not pass the stopped vehicle into the pedestrian's path.
