Passing target: 24/30 correct (TLA practice target)
A broken yellow line is closest to your lane. When may you use the opposing lane to pass?
A follows B beside a broken yellow center line, with the opposing lane visible on the other side.
Correct answer: When the oncoming lane is clear and the pass is legal and safe.
Why
A broken yellow line permits consideration of a pass, but sight distance, signs, traffic, speed, and space must all support it. You need room to overtake and return without interfering with oncoming traffic. A broken line does not cancel a separate no-passing restriction near an intersection, bridge or other hazard.
