Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
On a road with more than one lane in your direction, which lane should you normally use when not passing or turning left?
A travels in the right lane of a two-lane roadway. B is farther ahead in the left lane; a broken white line separates their lanes.
Correct answer: The extreme right travel lane.
Why
Keeping right for ordinary travel leaves the left lane available for passing and left turns. Use another lane when a lawful maneuver or condition calls for it, then return right when safe. Avoid unnecessary lane changes that make your course harder for other drivers to predict.
