Intersections & Right-of-WayStandalone practice
At a two-way stop, you and an opposing driver stop at the same time. The other driver will go straight and you will turn left across that vehicle’s path. After traffic on the through road clears, who yields?
Opposing cars A and B have stopped at a two-way stop. The card states that A intends to turn left and B intends to go straight.
Correct answer: You yield to the vehicle traveling straight.
Why
Both stopped drivers must first yield to traffic on the through road. When two drivers stop at the same time, the driver who goes straight has the right-of-way and the left-turning driver waits. A turn signal does not give priority, and the two vehicles must not enter together.
