Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
You are 16 and hold a Missouri instruction permit. Which person may supervise your practice drive?
Correct answer: Your 22-year-old brother, who has a valid license, in the front passenger seat
Why
The supervisor sits beside you so that he or she can watch the road and give you instructions as you drive. Before age 16 the rule is stricter: the supervisor must be a parent, grandparent, legal guardian, qualified driving instructor, or a person aged 25 or older who has held a license for at least three years and has written permission from a parent or guardian. A permit never allows you to drive alone.
