Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
Your street joins a busy road. A white triangle with a red border points down and shows the word YIELD. What must you do?

Correct answer: Slow down, let pedestrians and traffic on the road go first, and stop if needed
Why
The downward-pointing triangle is used only for YIELD signs. In Nevada, a yield sign has the same meaning as a stop sign, except that you do not have to stop when the way is clear. Look in all directions before you enter, because a driver who fails to yield can cause a side-impact or merge crash. You must also yield to a vehicle that makes a U-turn from the intersection.
