Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
A yellow diamond sign shows a car with two wavy lines behind it. It has just started to rain. What does the sign warn you about?

Correct answer: The road can become slippery, especially when wet
Why
Tires have less grip on wet pavement, and stopping distances on slippery roads can be many times longer than on dry ones. The first rain after a dry period is often the worst, because oil and dust mix with the water. Nevada law requires you to reduce speed when weather or road conditions call for it, even below the posted limit. Increase your following distance and avoid hard braking or sharp steering.
