Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
Your license shows restriction code B and no other restriction. Before a drive, you note four facts: your glasses are at the repair shop and you have no contact lenses; your car has a stick shift; your car has no outside mirror on the passenger side; and you will drive home after dark. Which fact keeps you from driving under restriction B?
Correct answer: No glasses or contacts; code B means corrective lenses when you drive.
Why
New Hampshire's vision standard is 20/40 in both eyes, or 20/30 for a person with sight in only one eye, and a driver who needs lenses to meet it gets restriction B. State law makes it a violation to drive against a license restriction, and the Division can suspend the license for such a violation. The manual also advises regular eye exams and warns against dark or tinted lenses at night.
