Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You drive toward a crossing that has this sign beside the road but no lights or gates. What does the sign tell you, and what should you do?

Correct answer: It marks the crossing itself; slow down, look and listen, and stop for a train.
Why
At crossings with only a crossbuck, no lights or gates will warn you, so you must watch for trains yourself. If a train is approaching, stop at least 15 feet but not more than 50 feet from the nearest rail. Where there is more than one track, make sure every track is clear before you cross.
