A white sign shows a bicycle symbol above the words MAY USE FULL LANE. Ahead of you, a cyclist is riding in the center of your lane. What should you do?

Correct answer: Stay behind until you can pass safely, since the rider may use the full lane
Why
This sign is used where a lane is too narrow for a car and a bicycle to share side by side, so cyclists ride in the center to be seen and to avoid being squeezed. In New Jersey, cyclists have the same rights on the road as drivers, and they may move away from the right edge to avoid hazards. When you pass, move into another lane if you can; if not, leave at least 4 feet, or slow to 25 mph and pass only when it is safe.
