Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
You are in the right lane of a road with two lanes going your way. A yellow diamond sign shows the right lane line bending in toward the left lane. What should you do?

Correct answer: Signal, find a safe gap, and move left before your lane ends
Why
When a lane ends, all of its vehicles must fit into the next lane, so move over early while there is still room. Adjust your speed to match a gap rather than forcing your way in at the last moment. New Mexico law lets you leave your lane only after you make sure the move can be made safely.
