A front tire suddenly blows out while you are driving on the highway. What should you do first?
Correct answer: Grip the wheel, keep straight, and ease off the gas.
Why
A blowout can pull the vehicle hard to one side. Grip the steering wheel tightly, keep the vehicle going straight, take your foot off the gas, and use the brakes only lightly once you have control. Then pull off the road in a safe place instead of stopping in a travel lane.
