Priya is 17. She finished an approved high school driver education course and has the certificate of completion. After she passes her road test, which license can she get?
Correct answer: A Class D license, because driver education lets her qualify at 17
Why
The minimum age for a junior license (Class DJ) is 16, and a junior license becomes a Class D license automatically at 18. A driver under 18 also needs the parent's certification of 50 practice hours for the road test. With a Class D license, the junior time and passenger limits no longer apply.
