You hold only a Class D driver license, and you want to ride a moped. Which moped may you legally operate with that license?
Correct answer: A Class B or C moped, with a top speed of 30 mph or less
Why
Every moped must be registered, and its headlight must be on while you ride. Class B and C mopeds must use the right-hand lane or the shoulder, except to turn left, and no moped may use an expressway unless signs allow it. A helmet and eye protection are required on Class A and B mopeds.
