Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
It is raining, and you pass this sign just before a curve. What should you do?

Correct answer: Slow down before the curve, and steer and brake gently through it
Why
New York law requires a speed that is reasonable for the conditions and a reduced speed on curves and when the weather makes the road hazardous. In heavy rain, tires can ride up on a film of water (hydroplaning) and lose their grip, most often at higher speeds or with worn tires. Take extra care on curves, turns and ramps, and increase your following distance.
