Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
On a highway with a 55 mph limit, you see this yellow warning sign with a yellow plaque below it. What does the speed on the plaque mean?

Correct answer: It is the speed advised for the curve ahead, so slow down before it
Why
The advised speed is set for good conditions, so in rain, snow or darkness you may need to go even slower. The plaque is advice, but the law requires a speed that is reasonable for the conditions, so you can get a ticket for taking a curve too fast. Slow down before the curve, not in it.
