Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
Jordan, 19, is applying for a first North Carolina driver license. Jordan passes the knowledge test but does not pass the traffic-sign test. What happens next?
Correct answer: Jordan must pass the sign test itself before the road test can happen
Why
A first North Carolina license can require four tests: vision, knowledge of traffic laws, traffic signs and an on-road driving test. A good result on one test cannot make up for a failed result on another, and state law requires sign and symbol testing for every first license. Because the road test comes last, study the sign pages of the handbook as closely as the rules.
