Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
Your license shows restriction code 1, corrective lenses. You are late and cannot find your glasses, and you plan only a short drive in daylight. What does the restriction mean for you?
Correct answer: You may drive only while you wear your glasses or contact lenses, on every trip.
Why
The Driver License Division adds restrictions to fit each driver's abilities, for example corrective lenses, outside mirrors, automatic transmission or daylight driving only. The codes are printed on the license, and the meaning of code 9 is printed on the back. A driver who permanently loses the use of a hand, arm, foot, leg or eye must tell the Driver License Division before driving again.
