Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
An orange diamond-shaped sign with a black message and a black border stands beside the highway. What should you expect when you see orange signs like this?

Correct answer: Road work ahead, with changed lanes, workers or equipment
Why
Most work-zone signs are orange diamonds, a few are rectangles, and some zones also use electronic signs with changing messages. Workers can be only inches from traffic, and the manual says that most people killed in work zones are drivers and passengers. North Dakota law also requires you to yield to workers and work vehicles in a marked construction or maintenance area.
