Passing target: 80% (16/20)
You follow a slow car on a two-lane county road that has no center line. You see a railroad crossing ahead. From what point must you stay on the right side of the road and not pass?
A follows slower B on an unmarked two-way county road. A railroad crossing and crossbuck are ahead; no answer distance or passing path appears in the question.
Correct answer: From 100 feet before the crossing until you are across it
Why
The same 100-foot rule applies at intersections, and near a bridge, viaduct or tunnel when your view is blocked. You also may not pass on a hill or curve where you cannot see far enough ahead, even if the road has no markings. Vehicles that stop at crossings, such as school buses, are another reason not to pass there.
