You get into the family car after a taller relative drove it. Before you pull away from the curb, what should you do with the mirrors?
Correct answer: Set the inside mirror to show the road behind, and adjust the left outside mirror.
Why
Oklahoma law requires a left outside mirror and a second mirror, inside at the center or outside on the right, placed so that the driver can see the road to the rear. Adjust your seat first, then the mirrors, and fasten your seat belt before the car moves. Mirrors still leave blind spots, so also look over your shoulder before you change lanes.
