Passing target: 80% (16/20)
You follow a slow car on a two-lane, two-way road. In the center, a solid yellow line is on your side and a broken yellow line is on the other side. What does this marking tell you?
Blue car A follows silver car B in the same lane. The center marking has a solid yellow line next to A’s lane and a broken yellow line on the opposite side.
Correct answer: Passing is not allowed for you, but is allowed for the other side
Why
Yellow center lines separate traffic that moves in opposite directions. No-passing zones are marked where a hill, curve or intersection makes passing too dangerous, and Oklahoma law forbids driving left of center anywhere in the zone. Stay behind the slow car until the line on your side becomes broken and the road ahead is clear.
