Lane changes, passing and streetcarsStandalone practice
If another vehicle is attempting to pass you on a two-lane road, what is the safest and most lawful action to take?
Blue A travels east in its normal right-hand lane. Silver B is temporarily using the opposing lane to pass A. The yellow centre line is broken and no oncoming vehicle is shown.
Correct answer: Keep your speed or slow down, and keep to the right of your lane
Why
When being passed, you must not increase your speed. You should maintain your speed (or slow down) and keep to the right side of your lane to give the passing driver maximum space.
