If you are caught driving with a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) over 0.08%, or if you refuse to take a breathalyzer test, what happens immediately at the roadside?
Correct answer: A 90-day suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment
Why
A BAC of 0.08 or more, or refusing a lawful alcohol or drug test, brings an immediate 90-day suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment. For a first occurrence, Ontario also requires an 8-hour education course and a $550 penalty.
