Which statement about ordinary passenger cars in Ontario provincial-highway HOV lanes is correct?
Correct answer: Two or more people, counting the driver; a green-plate car may carry one.
Why
On the provincial HOV lanes covered by Ontario Regulation 620/05, the usual minimum is two people, including the driver. A car displaying valid Ontario green vehicle plates can qualify with one occupant. Other specified classes, such as buses and motorcycles, have exceptions. Follow the applicable lane rules; municipal HOV lanes may differ.
