Passing target: 80% (28/35)
Your light turns green, but a funeral procession led by a funeral lead vehicle with warning lights is still going through the intersection against its red light. What should you do?
A’s signal has turned green while funeral lead vehicle B and following C continue north through the crossing against their red signal. B’s amber warning-light cues are visible, and a card identifies B as the lead vehicle with flashing warning lights.
Correct answer: Stay stopped and yield until the whole procession has passed
Why
Vehicles in a funeral procession with a lead or escort vehicle may follow the lead vehicle through an intersection without a stop. Other drivers, pedestrians and bicyclists must yield, stay stopped until the procession has passed, and obey the directions of a funeral escort driver. It is illegal to drive between the vehicles of a procession or to join it to avoid a traffic rule.
