Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You are at an intersection with no traffic signal, and you want to turn around. A white square sign shows a black U-shaped arrow with a red circle and slash over it. What does the sign mean for you?

Correct answer: U-turns are banned here at all times, even when traffic is clear.
Why
Any sign with a red circle and a slash tells you not to make the movement shown under the slash. A No U-Turn sign applies even when traffic is light and a turn looks safe, so drive on to a place where turning around is legal. Oregon law also bans U-turns in some places with no sign, for example where approaching drivers cannot see your vehicle in time.
