Passing target: 80% (28/35)
On a freeway, you drive next to the trailer of a large truck. You look at the truck's side mirror and cannot see the driver's face in it. What should you assume?
On a freeway with two lanes in this direction, A travels beside truck B’s trailer in the left lane. The card states that A cannot see the truck driver’s face in the side mirror.
Correct answer: The driver cannot see you, since you cannot see the driver in the mirror
Why
Large trucks, buses and RVs have large blind spots on both sides and directly behind. It is dangerous to stay next to one, because the driver can move over into your lane. After you pass, do not pull back in until you see the whole front of the truck in your rearview mirror.
