Passing target: 80% (28/35)
You plan to turn at the next corner, across the streetcar tracks in the lane next to you. A streetcar in that lane moves in your direction and is about to enter the intersection. What should you do?
A approaches the intersection beside streetcar B. The track lane on A’s left is marked TRANSIT ONLY and separated by a solid white line. A plans to turn across those tracks; B is moving toward the intersection.
Correct answer: Let the streetcar go through first, and then make your turn behind it
Why
Look both ways for streetcars and trains before you turn across tracks, and signal your turn early. If there is a left-turn signal, wait for it before you turn left over the tracks. Also watch for people who get on or off a streetcar, because they may run across the lanes to reach it.
