Traffic SignsStandalone practice
What does the red circle with a horizontal white bar mean when it faces you at a road entrance?

Correct answer: Do not enter the road from this direction
Why
Do not enter the road in the direction facing this sign. It is often placed where entering would put you against the permitted traffic flow. Stop before entering and find a lawful route; looking for an empty gap does not cancel the restriction. The PEI regulations also provide for an accompanying DO NOT ENTER word sign. This lesson identifies the red-and-white symbol shown in the handbook, not a complete sign-installation plan.
