Parking, Reversing & Roadside StopsStandalone practice
You park a car on a slope. What must you do with the parking brake before leaving it?
Correct answer: Apply it and set the wheels correctly
Why
When parked on a slope, apply the parking brake and position the front wheels so that any movement of the front of the vehicle is toward the nearest edge of the roadway. Use the appropriate transmission setting for the vehicle too. Do not rely on the wheel position alone.
