You drive in the right lane of a highway. You see a yellow diamond sign with a straight black line and a second line that curves in and joins it from the right. What should you expect and do?

Correct answer: Cars may enter from the right; adjust speed or move left if it is safe
Why
The acceleration lane lets entering drivers reach the speed of highway traffic before they merge. The entering driver must find a safe gap, but you can help: leave space, and do not speed up to close the gap. In work zones, look early for signs that tell you to merge, and merge early when it is safe.
