At night, the headlights of an oncoming car are very bright and dazzle you. Where should you look until the car passes?
Blue car A meets oncoming silver car B at night on a two-lane road. B’s broad bright light pool reaches across A’s lane. The white edge line is visible, but the question image does not highlight a place to look.
Correct answer: Toward the right edge of the road or the white edge line
Why
The time that your eyes need to recover after glare is called glare recovery time, and during it you can see very little. When you look at the edge line, you keep your car in its lane and still watch ahead with side vision. The same method helps with bright sunlight.
