Your car stalls on a railroad crossing, and you see a train coming from your left. What should you and your passengers do?
A is stalled facing north across railroad tracks. Train B approaches from the left, moving east toward the crossing; no escape path appears in the question image.
Correct answer: Get out at once and move far from the tracks, toward the direction the train is coming from.
Why
Your life is more important than the car. When a train hits a car, it pushes the wreck and the debris along the track in its own direction of travel. So after you leave the car, go well away from the rails and back toward where the train comes from. Do not go back to the car for your belongings.
