Passing target: 20 correct signs and 20 correct rules
Someone drank heavily, slept for a few hours and now needs to travel in the morning. Which statement is correct?
Correct answer: Alcohol may still impair them, so they should find another way to travel.
Why
A few hours of sleep do not necessarily eliminate alcohol after heavy drinking. Impairment can continue into the next morning, even when the person feels more awake. Do not assume that sleep, breakfast or a shower has made driving safe. The handbook's hourly BAC table is an example, not a personal timetable for deciding when to drive; arrange another way to travel when alcohol or impairment may remain.
