Your car has a driver's air bag in the steering wheel. Where does the manual recommend that you place your hands for normal driving?
An unmarked steering-wheel component is shown with all twelve clock numbers as neutral references. No hand position or recommended range is selected before the answer.
Correct answer: Left hand at 7 to 9 o'clock and right hand at 3 to 5 o'clock.
Why
Grip the outside of the wheel with your fingers, with your thumbs along the rim, firmly but not too tightly. For normal turns above about 10 to 15 mph, use hand-to-hand (push-pull) steering so that your hands never cross over the air bag. Use hand-over-hand steering for turns at low speed, such as at intersections or when you park.
