You adjust the driver's seat before a trip. About how far from the steering wheel, which holds an air bag, should your chest be?
An empty driver’s seat, head restraint, wheel and pedals are shown before adjustment. The wheel air-bag reference is named in the card. There is no person, chest position, chosen gap or numerical mark.
Correct answer: About 10 inches, so the air bag has room
Why
Sit upright with your back against the seat, so your foot can pivot from brake to gas with your heel on the floor. The top of the wheel should be no higher than your shoulders. Set the head restraint so it touches the back of your head, not below the level of your ears, to help prevent whiplash.
