A mechanic tells you that your car horn is weak. Under normal conditions, from what minimum distance must other road users be able to hear a working horn?
Correct answer: At least 200 feet
Why
The horn is a warning device: a short tap can alert a driver who starts to back out or drift into your lane. Texas law requires a horn in good working condition that others can hear at least 200 feet away. Sirens, bells and exhaust whistles are not allowed on ordinary cars, so repair a weak horn instead of adding another noise device.
