Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
On a two-lane road posted at 55 mph, you want to pass a slow truck. To finish the pass before an oncoming car arrives, you would have to reach 65 mph. What should you do?
Correct answer: Do not pass, because the speed limit also applies while you pass
Why
Before you pass, make sure that the road ahead is clear for a long enough distance and that you can finish before a no-passing zone or oncoming traffic. Passing a long truck takes more time and distance than passing a car. It is much better to wait for a safe place than to risk a head-on crash.
