Observation, Speed & SpaceStandalone practice
You drive on a road with one lane in each direction. A driver follows you much too closely, and you cannot move to another lane. What should you do?
A is ahead of a silver car B that follows closely on a two-lane road. No movement path is shown.
Correct answer: Tap the brakes lightly and slow gradually, so that the driver can pass
Why
A tailgater has too little time to stop if you must brake. When you add space in front of your car, you can slow down gently and give the tailgater more time to react. If another lane is available, move over and let the driver go by. Keep a steady speed yourself, and tap your brakes early when you plan to slow down or stop.
