Maria is 19 and has a regular Class E instruction permit. She wants to practice on a public road. Which person may supervise her?
Correct answer: Her friend, age 23, who has a valid license, is sober and alert and sits beside her
Why
A regular instruction permit is for applicants age 18 and older who pass the vision and knowledge tests. The supervisor sits beside you so that he or she sees the same traffic, can give advice at once and can help in an emergency. The permit is valid for six months; if it expires, you must take the vision and knowledge tests again. If you never held a Level 2 license, you must keep the permit for at least 30 days before the road skills test.
