Passing target: 80% (52/65)
At low speed, you hit the back of another car on a busy city street. No one is hurt, and both cars can still be driven. Traffic starts to back up behind you. What should you do?
Blue A has hit the rear of silver B at low speed; both remain stopped in the right eastbound lane. Silver C queues behind them. The card gives no injuries and drivable cars. No relocation route or information-exchange instruction is shown.
Correct answer: Move off the road when it is safe, and then exchange license, vehicle and insurance details.
Why
What you do after a crash depends on whether someone is hurt and whether the cars can move. If someone is injured, call 911 and do not move the vehicles. If no one is hurt and the cars can move, clear the road, exchange information, and get the names of any witnesses. Report the crash to police at once if there is an injury or a death, damage of $1,000 or more to one person's property, or damage of $200 or more to government property.
