Warning, Construction & Information SignsStandalone practice
On a two-lane road with a 55 mph limit, you follow a car that goes 45 mph. On the left side of the road you see a yellow pennant-shaped sign with the words NO PASSING ZONE. What does this sign tell you?

Correct answer: Do not cross the center line to pass until the no-passing zone ends
Why
A no-passing zone can be marked by this sign or by a solid yellow line on your side of the center line. Wisconsin law has one narrow exception: you may pass with care a vehicle that goes at less than half the speed limit, but not farm equipment. The pennant is on the left side of the road, where you can see it when you look to pass.
