Licensing & Test ReadinessStandalone practice
You are 16 and have a Class D instruction permit. You want to practice at 3 p.m. Which person can be your supervisor?
Correct answer: Your neighbor, age 22, with a regular license for 4 years and your parent's written approval, beside you
Why
A probationary or occupational license does not qualify a person to supervise. When a parent, guardian or spouse supervises, other immediate family members can ride in the back seat. From age 16, one more licensed person aged 25 or older with at least 2 years of experience can also ride in a rear seat. These rules put an experienced driver in the seat where they can help you at once.
