Safe & Responsible DrivingStandalone practice
Driver J is 25 and drives a car. At what alcohol concentration does Wyoming law make it illegal for Driver J to drive, even with no other proof of impairment?
Correct answer: 0.08 percent or more
Why
Wyoming law bans driving or being in actual physical control of a vehicle with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 percent or more. A driver can also be convicted of DWUI (driving while under the influence) at a lower level if alcohol or drugs make the driver incapable of safe driving, and a BAC above 0.05 percent can be used with other evidence. The 0.08 number is not a safe target: the manual says people at 0.08 are impaired whether or not they show it.
