Riley, age 16, has an intermediate license. Riley is driving alone and has no signed exception form. During which hours must Riley stay off public roads?
Correct answer: From 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Why
A Wyoming intermediate license holder may not drive on public roads from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. The law allows night driving when a licensed person age 18 or older rides along, and for medical needs, work, school, youth sports or religious activities, most with a signed statement. The 2021 manual lists the signed-form exceptions but not the licensed-adult exception, which is in the current law. Night driving is harder for new drivers because headlights let you see clearly only about 250 feet.
