Regulatory, Lane & Parking SignsStandalone practice
You are in the left lane and plan to drive straight through the next intersection. This sign is over your lane. What should you do?

Correct answer: Move to a through lane early if it is safe; if you cannot, turn left
Why
An arrow with the word ONLY means that traffic in that lane must go in the direction of the arrow; there is no other option. Arrows painted on the road have the same meaning as arrows on overhead signs. Read lane signs early and change lanes in good time, because a late lane change or a sudden stop can cause a crash. If you end up in the wrong lane, follow the lane's direction and find another route.
