Passing target: 80% (24/30)
You drive on a dry, clear state highway with no vehicle ahead of you, and you pass this sign. What is the highest speed at which you may lawfully drive?

Correct answer: 55 mph, the maximum speed posted for this part of the road
Why
White rectangular signs are regulatory, and a posted speed limit is the maximum lawful speed for that section of road. The normal Wyoming limits, such as 70 mph on secondary highways, apply only where no other limit is posted. The law lets a car, pickup or motorcycle that is not towing go up to 10 mph over the limit only while it passes a slower vehicle on a two-lane road posted at 50 mph or more. In rain, snow, ice or darkness, drive slower than the posted limit.
