Wyoming law bans driving on a car tire whose tread depth is less than which amount?
Correct answer: 2/32 inch
Why
Worn tread greatly reduces grip on wet, snowy or icy roads. Wyoming law bars driving on a tire in unsafe condition or with less than 2/32 inch of tread (4/32 inch on the front tires of buses and trucks). The manual's penny test is a quick check: put Lincoln's head into the groove where the tread looks lowest, and if the tread covers part of his head, the tire still has a safe amount of tread. Check your tires once a month and before long trips.
