In a road construction zone, a flag person holds up a STOP paddle, and you stop. When may you go on?
A work-zone flagger faces approaching traffic with the STOP side of a paddle displayed. An inset enlarges the paddle face.
Correct answer: Only when the flag person signals you to go on; then drive slowly.
Why
A flag person protects workers and drivers where construction changes the normal traffic pattern, and Wyoming law requires you to obey an authorized flag person who directs traffic. If the flag person directs you to stop, do not go on until you are directed to do so. Then drive slowly and watch for workers and equipment that may enter your lane, even where no work seems to be going on.
